My journey to becoming an iIN health Coach
I'm often asked, "Why health coaching? How did you get into it?" To be honest, it wasn't a planned career move. After leaving my fast-paced role as a fashion executive in London, I found myself at a crossroads. Struggling with high anxiety, an eating disorder, and burnout, I knew I needed a change. That's when my journey of self-healing and inner exploration began.
During this transformative period, I stumbled upon the concept of holistic health and well-being. It wasn't just about what we eat; it was about nourishing every aspect of our lives—our relationships, careers, movement practices, spirituality, and more. Instead of merely treating the symptoms with traditional medicine, holistic healing delves deeper to address the root cause of our issues.
As I delved deeper into holistic health, I began sharing my journey and newfound knowledge on Instagram. The response was overwhelming. Friends, colleagues, and followers resonated with my experiences and were eager to learn more. It became apparent that many others were yearning for a holistic approach to life—one where health and career harmony was possible, and balance and authenticity were prioritized.
This realization ignited a passion within me. I felt called to support others on their journey to holistic wellness. I began researching coaching certifications, seeking a program that aligned with my values and ambitions. That's when I discovered the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN).
IIN's holistic approach to health coaching resonated deeply with me. Their philosophy of bio-individuality, recognizing that each person is unique and has unique dietary and lifestyle needs, struck a chord. Additionally, their emphasis on embracing our uniqueness and addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—aligned perfectly with my beliefs.
Before committing to the program, I reached out to professionals in the wellness industry and connected with an IIN alumna. Their insights and experiences reassured me that IIN was the right choice for me. With any doubts dispelled, I enrolled in the program with great excitement.
Studying with IIN was a transformative experience. The program's digital format, which included a mix of live sessions and pre-recorded content, was incredibly flexible. As someone who was constantly on the move, juggling travel and work as a yoga teacher, this flexibility was invaluable. I could tailor my study schedule to fit around my other commitments, ensuring that I could balance my studies with work and personal life.
Despite the flexibility, IIN's curriculum ensured that I stayed on track. Regular exams acted as important milestones, motivating me to keep up with my studies and not procrastinate. The coursework was challenging but immensely rewarding. Each module deepened my understanding of holistic health and equipped me with practical tools and strategies to support my future clients.
Upon graduation, I felt empowered and ready to embark on my coaching journey. Armed with the knowledge and skills acquired through IIN, I launched my coaching practice with confidence. Over the years, I've had the privilege of guiding hundreds of women on their journey to wellness, witnessing their transformations firsthand.
Being a health coach is more than just a profession—it adds so much meaning to my life. It's about building authentic connections, empowering others to become the best version of themselves, and facilitating long-lasting change. My education at IIN has been key in shaping my career and allowing me to fulfill my purpose.
