WELCOME TO COSTA RICA
Costa Rica is one of the five blue zones in the world where its inhabitants live to over 90 years old. This is due to factors such as diet, quality of life, exercise and community structure. According to the Happy Planet Index, Costa Rica is the happiest country in the world due to the well-being and longevity of the population. With 220 species of reptiles, 1,000 species of butterflies, 34,000 species of insects, and 9,000 species of plants - Costa Rica is home to 5% of the world’s biodiversity.
98% of all of Costa Rica’s energy is renewable, which means they’re giving back to the land just as much as they’re taking from it. In Costa Rica, 28% of the country’s territory is protected under strict guidelines imposed by local governments, making it one of the most ecologically-conscious nations in the world.
Costa Rica banned the cutting down of mature forests in 1996. After the rules were put in place, the loss of forest decreased from 2.2% to 1.2% per year.
Costa Rica is home to 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Area de Conservación Guanacaste, Cocos Island, La Amistad International Park and the Stone spheres of Costa Rica.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
Daily Jivamukti Yoga classes (Vinyasa) focused on the mind-body-spirit connection, woven together with yoga philosophy, dynamic vinyasa sequences, breath work, chants, and meditation. All levels of yoga are welcome. Hands-on assists will be offered.

We hold a safe space to connect and grow with other curious individuals through shared experiences and connective workshops. Everyone is welcome to this retreat. All that we ask for is an open mind and willingness to explore and experiment.
COMMUNITY
WORKSHOPS
Learn tools and practices for self-inquiry, healing and personal growth through journaling, meditation and movement. We will also explore sound, breath and creativity as ways to explore our inner-worlds and layers of our being.
You will be nourished by the chefs at restaurant Nula. The intention of Nula is to promote a plant based diet by inviting others to live a more conscious and healthy lifestyle, and presenting new ways of treating our planet and our body. Meals are prepared with love, intent and thrive off fresh ingredients.

Welcome to your home, Zunya - a hidden gem tucked away in the lush and serene jungle, close to the surf town Santa Teresa.
You can think of Zunya as an upgraded version of an eco-village where you have space to discover yourself outside of the normal constructs of everyday life. Zunya is a regenerative living concept and nest for cultural and environmentally conscious projects: a vibrant hub for creativity and holistic well-being.
There are different room categories available, all immersed in nature and only a few steps away from the sea. The accommodation is simple yet stunning, providing a serene space for you to relax and soften into. At Zunya, luxury is defined by the connection with nature and serenity that it provides - a reminder that nature is so rich and abundant in itself.
There is no AC or hot water but you will enjoy the breeze from the fans and fresh showers in this tropical climate. There is also a communal kitchen that everyone can access. All rooms can be booked privately or shared with another person.

Fly to the SJO Juan Santa Maria Airport
Take a short Domestic Flight to Tambor with Sansa Airways or Costa Rica Green Airways.
Arrange to be picked up by Enrique, our trusted driver, and dropped at Zunya (45min). Can be shared with other guests.

Fill out the form to book your spot and we will get back to you shortly with the payment details. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining payment is due before 31st of August, 2023. We require a minimum of 8 guests for this retreat to go ahead.
